As soon as we commenced monitoring our water usage on-line using the Watersave Smart Meter in 2008, we detected a loss of 5-10 litres of water per minute, which is equal to 14,400 litres wasted every day! The real time data available over the internet showed a major concealed leak so the challenge now was to find the source. Using their super sensitive leak detection equipment, Watersave found a leak more than a meter underground in the school quadrangle, as well as another major leak in the school car park, one metre down under bitumen.
Thanks to the Watersave initiatives, monitoring and finding these leaks has saved our school thousand of dollars in excess water charges.
